Applying for Biohazard: Basic Tips and Advice

Post by Roxxar on June 11th 2014, 11:48 pm

This thread was created to give some basic advice, tips, and reminders before posting an application. This isn't guaranteed to get you into the clan, but it'll prevent you (or at least, it SHOULD prevent you) from making careless mistakes that could get you denied.

Before joining Biohazard
You should really ask yourself these questions:

  • Do I know AND meet the requirements?
  • Do I understand the recruitment process, before, and after I am accepted?
  • Am I committed to joining Biohazard?
  • Am I ready to join this clan?

If you've answered "no" to any of these questions, you might struggle with joining Biohazard at first. Not everyone gets accepted the very first time they apply.

When making an application
Here are some basic tips to go over when making an application.

  • Make sure you read AND understand the recruitment process and the about page. If you don't, feel free to ask a leader for help.
  • Make sure you meet the requirements. You can check requirements on our forums here or on our website here.
  • Gather the kills and deaths you have on all accounts. If you have a total of 4,000 kills with several accounts, please specify it in your application.
  • Get your level developer rank on the account you're applying for. If you fall short of the kills requirement, multiply your level developer rank by 80 and add that number to your total amount of kills. If you have over 4,000 kills, then you can still apply.
  • Get ALL of your alternate accounts as best as possible. And yes, there is a way for you to check them.
  • Get your player points on the account you're applying for, not your predicted player points.
  • We do not allow multiclanning, meaning you must leave all clans you are in before applying. It may be best to wait a few days after leaving a clan until said clan removes you from their member list so there is no confusion when you apply.
  • Skim through the list of Biohazard members. Please try to list members you personally know, not just names that seem familiar like Max teabag, Stryde, Kaotic Kaos, or Zakrzew.
  • Think of what you can offer to the clan. DO NOT say "Depends" or "I dunno what you want" to us, you will have a lower chance of being accepted. What makes you different than any other player, and why?
  • Think of how you play PB2. Whether it be selfboosting, swimming, or camping, just put something.
  • Get your timezone and country. If you're old enough to play PB2, you should be old enough to know your country and timezone.
  • Check over your application before you submit it. You are not allowed to edit your application after you submit it.
  • Make sure you don't leave questions blank, or remove questions. We will find out. With this being said, you are allowed to leave 5b & 5c blank (if you have been in no clans before) and 16 blank (if you have no extra comments/questions).

Tips are not exclusively limited to these, but these are just some common sense skills that many people tend to forget when applying.

Applications that are completed will either be accepted, denied, or frozen.

  • Accepted means that your application has been accepted to the clan, and you must now complete your tests.
  • Denied means that your application has been rejected.
  • Frozen means that you have not answered follow-up questions asked by members that need to be answered. Applications are frozen 1 week after no response. If there is no response still within that week, your application will be denied.

Why you may be denied
Below are a list of reasons why you may have been denied:

  • You did not wait 2 weeks since your last application.
  • You do not meet the requirements to join Biohazard.
  • You were in other clans while applying to Biohazard (multiclanning). This also includes applying to other clans while applying to Biohazard.
  • You left parts on your application blank. Since you are not allowed to change your application after you submit it to the clan, the only way you can "update" your application is when members ask you to elaborate on questions. With this being said, you are allowed to leave 5b & 5c blank (if you have been in no clans before) and 16 blank (if you have no extra comments/questions).
  • Your application was lackluster and there was little effort taken on your part to improve it when members asked questions.
  • You treated the recruitment process/application format like a joke.
  • You removed certain questions from your application.
  • You copied another application. If you do this multiple times, you will be permanently banned from the recruitment process.
  • You didn't post your own application. In other words, you got another user or member to post your application on your behalf.
  • People believe that you are not "ready" or "meant to be" in the clan yet.

After being accepted and/or denied, we'll tell you what to do afterwards. Once again, these tips are not a guarantee to get you into the clan, but they should help.
